Bio

Andrew Vilaythong is a 24-year-old Laotian- and Vietnamese-American aspiring music producer and composer. Growing up in Kansas, family called him buk kadook (Laotian for 'bony boy'), because he was so skinny. Shortened to dook, and later nicknamed dookie, he embraces his childhood moniker.

As a boy playing countless hours of Nintendo, Andrew was hypnotized by the blips and bloops of music from games like Super Mario Brothers, Duck Hunt, and Excite Bike. Those simple melodies would inspire him to create his own music later in life.

In 2001, Andrew moved to Chicago. He currently attends Harold Washington College for Music Technology, while working as a freelance composer/music ninja.
